What's up Boxer? Just thought I'd stop by for a second and say hello to everyone. For those that did not meet me at Fulda Gap, I am David Thompson (Jr.) and I am Captain of Team Capital Offense. I am a 19 year veteran of the sport, and used to play tournament ball for a national and international team before concentrating entirely on the scenario circuit. I am one of those that love hunting people in the woods, and my skills lend me to that type of playing. Back when I did tourneys they were in the woods...so I was in my element. when the tourney scene transitioned to arena style (and when the tourney attitudes got out of control) i made the jump and am thrilled to be competing in the scenario market just like i did in the professional market - get sponsors, use their gear to maximum effectiveness, and win games! I am also a big history buff and enjoy the strategic chess game that scenario paintball offers.
I really enjoyed meeting and playing with everyone at Fulda - you guys did a great job for me and i really appreciate all the effort. just think - if you guys had allowed our home CP to fall in multiple phases, NATO would have gotten the 100 points for the base PLUS the 250 points for overall mission objective, which could have changed the outcome of teh game...so hats off to you.
I hope that our two teams have a chance to play together again soon. I think we'd have a great time kickin' some tail. Capital Offense is based out of Washington, DC as most of us are professionals in the area. I am a defense and healthcare lobbyist, many guys are lawyers for the Dept of Justice and private sector and bankers, my wife works for CNN here in DC, and we have other small businessmen and students. we are a fun loving group who take the game very seriously when we are on the field but try to be completely non-confrontational and easy to approach off the field. We try to get along with all the teams we know and play with and also try to guide new players along and nurture them in the scenario world.
We are sponsored by Planet Eclipse, ATN Corp (big military night vision producer and distributer), Flurry Industries, VFORCE, and Scenario Supply. We are a full-service team in that we offer the skillsets to accomplish just about any task our general throws at us - whether that be a full assault, holding flanks, directing newby traffic, or running missions...but we are in our element and usually do the most damage when running special behind-the-lines missions...we thrive here.
anyway, this filibuster must come to a stop...Hope to see you guys soon and look forward to getting to know everyone better.
