MVP Skynet - Wendell "Runaway" McInnis
Congrats to our Chief...........Runaway literally ran away with the Most Valuable Player award at Skynet. As usual leading the team, directing traffic and running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Boxer won the respect of a lot of teams and the Field owner from Adventure Beach.
Not to mention he drove the van, kindly donated by our sponsor Darrell Wallace, round trip....over 7-8 hours of driving.
Thanks for leading us and letting us rest while you only got to sleep an hour Sat./Sun. night. True sacrifice....that's why we love you man....well almost everyone....LOL ;D

What a time, what a time. I wish everyone on the team was there to experience the event.
In the beginning of the weekend I made a way to get off early from work so that I could be there and support the team. We left out around 1830 or so and we were in for some laughter, you would have thought Seoul brought the laughing gas for some sick reason it was that crazy the ride up.
Game day was comprised of a small awards ceromony that started us off along with Ihop, with all systems go. Arriving, it was kind of empty but we were early so that was all good, we set up shop and awaited the horn. Game on, we wanted to use our imfamous disicpline, commo and tatics to its fullest and that we did. I myself was blown away by how effortless it seemed we traversed the field, as we entered, and the way we had to touch our CP before we were in play, you could see the opfor going in so we knew we had enemy in our cp's AO before we started. Even though with this little bit of knowlege it wouldn't have mattered if we did'nt know, we litarally walked right over the opposition. Our plan was to get out of the woods and we did, march through the farm area and we did and make it to town and we did, I think this is about the time when kamari started have his little fainting spells, one of the refs noticed the little guy stumbling about and had to bring this to our attention, and by then a few of us had been knock out so we left the field, tended to kamari and regrouped, which was the method we would use for about 85% of the day. Next time out, with a full two squads we were tasked with the first mission, find and return a fuel can and some other can which we found both and completed the mission in about 20 mins or so, very quickly thats for sure. Upon our arrival back I think we were heavily pressed right there after and a few glorious firefight insued and we left the field again to regroup and rearm.
Next I believe, was the Pyrimid excuse me if I'm wrong but man that mission was hot, probably the best mission of the day, for the fact that when we got word of the mission, it was already in play and we only had 4 min to the end of morning session. We were tasked with helping out the already assualting forces and taking the pyrimid and flip the flag in that time, well it took about a 1min and half just to get there and when we did all hell broke loose. The pyrimid was right off a road that we were traveling on to get there, the road was clear and at the entrance on both sides there were big tires and on the other hugh wire reels, there was heavy fire coming from the pyrimid which had two stories of enemy firing right at us, when there was a lull i took the opportunity to jet across the entrance gap so that theres suppression from both side they'd have to contend with. As we suppress and try to find an oppurtunity, Runaway calls for a 9V batt to pop smoke, I give him the best girlie throw I can muster cause i was holding my weapon with my good hand, He gets it and deploys it, this was the break we needed be cause thru the confusion I'm able to run right to the smoke and land right on the building, right before this thought, Big seoul thumps a awesome shot on the bottom level taking out three or four cushioning my assualt. Awesome work seoul. Upon smacking the building, I had headed right for an oil can which provided the only cover from my right side, i didn't have to worry about the first floor but my left was open, as I exchanged fires from the woodline to my right I hear opfor telling the guys upstairs to run down and fill the gaps left by seoul's damaging blow, while I hear this I see a guy slide to a spot that was on my left the blind spot not 15 feet away, I pause so that I can see his colors and sure enough he was some opfor, I didn't hesitate to swing my weapon around and give him one the middle of his back, in shock he gives up. By this time, opfor are coming done the stairs to fill the gaps and as soon as they do they hear bunker tag, buncker tag, bunker tag, and they too die tired, I manage to take out one other guy in the woodline to my right along with the help from the suppression from all the guy at the entrance honing in. I'm able to, while firing raise the yellow flag with just seconds to spare. All that happened in under 4mins it was too sweet.
The day thoughout was riddled with firefires. Some arguments due to ramping and a inexprienced ref made for some exciting moments. WE completed a couple more missions and trust when I say that we definitly left our Boxer mark on the place. I enjoyed being the new guys on the field that noone knew and at the end of the day we were all well known. We didn't win but the score was close, it was like 2400 to like 2800, but we came in to this battle on the last series of a losing battle, I think things would have been very different if we were there all three, but thats just my two.
Big ups to Runway,Seoul,(MW/Hardcore/Jaurgernaut)lol,Abnotic,killa,kamari,Ghost, and muffin. We did our d**n thang. To all the teams that were there love ballin with you guys, and to kevin the field owner. You haven't seen the last of us. RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!

Operation: SkyNet Volume III When: 30 May 09 Where: Adventure Beach Paintball Field, Tabor City, NC
Topic: After Action Report
Week Leading Up Well as always my event started a few days before the shooting started, Wednesday we got equipment checked, replaced batteries and loaded up our gear. This trip would differ because this time we have planned to ride together in a van provided by our newest Sponsor’s, Wallace Industrial Technology, big thanks to them.
T-24hours We would be using primarily our Phoenix Group (Seoul, Abnotic, Killa, Muffin, Ghost, MgB, NevaScared, Runaway) with one Ruffneck in tow (Monster), thanks for a heck of a time guyz on and off the court!!!!! After meeting with the guyz at my house and getting packed up, we headed off around 1730 although we were scheduled to hit the road at 1700, but that was not to bad…until we found out Seoul had left his shoes, we doubled back for those and we're finally on our way. After laughing, joking, singing, fighting about who is better Kobe or Labron, and telling MG to seal the corner hundred time, we arrived at the Golden Corral in Laurinburg for our dinner. Within the hour we’re back on the road and get caught up in a nice lighting storm and some very hard rains that slow our travel somewhat. Finally arriving at our destination for the night the LaQuinta Inn in North Myrtle Beach, SC…about 17miles from the next day’s battle grounds.
T-6hrs We hit the floor at 0545 the day of and by 0700 we’re sitting in IHOP, talking, taking in breakfast and enjoying ourselves, once done we quickly gather up outside and pass out some awards and promotions.
Ghost (SPC)(Combat Rocker) Muffin (CPL)(Combat Rocker) Abnotic (SPC)(Combat Rocker) Monster (Unit Patch) Seoul (CW1)
~Congratulation Guyz you've earned it~
The Battle plan The Battle plan would be simple since we had no active role in this game; we were not task with holding any ground and had no command responsibilities. We would use a controlled aggression philosophy; we would dress light and move fast, we had with us the some of the fastest, youngest team members that Boxer had to offer with more than half of our squad in High School and the rest of us in well enough shape to keep up with them. We would use our special weapons and tactics to maximize our number and conserve our ammo. We would also respawn as a group as often as possible and take short breaks as a team when it made sense to do so. This philosophy, seemed to work very well although we were off the field at times (not long), when we did return we were always well rested, well prepared and highly motivated. Plus most importantly it made the game fun!
Game On As the horn goes off, we’re still under our canopy, the General “TJ Eaves” is calling us, people are running around on the field and paint is starting to fly. Seoul is ready to go and the other guyz, I’m sure are too. But hey guyz “Calm Down” we go over what will be our basic battle plan. Then make our way over to the CP to speak with the CO. We are task to go retrieve a fuel cell and were off and headed away from the main fight, but it is what it is. We head off to do the deed, we move with the help of a local player, he's at the point. Then I get a call from Seoul “Snake on the Trail” ---- “Snake” --- “Yeah a real Snake” lol. We soon reach our destination, secure the area and begin our search. After finding the items fairly quickly we’re off to the CP to turn them in.
After a quick conversation with HQ we’re tasked to push the Op4 off of our Base. Seoul takes the point as we head down the right tape line, I caution the guyz to stay on the tape line and not to get caught up in the battle to the left. We’re able to push up the line to the mouth of the city, after taking down a few buildings with “The Wallace.” We shift to our right and get caught up in some city fighting. And I run into a guy who has his tape tucked in so I can’t indentify him, he ducks inside a building before I can take the shot. And soon after I’m doin the dead walk.
After a quick rearm/refit, Boxer is on it way back to the battle. Each time we enter the field we see Op4 all over our CP. This time we’re tasked to capture a Cyborg (enemy) We jump on the Chopper. As we fly past an enemy painter we hold a short conversation about the Lakers with him. Then once he drops his guard we drop Abnotic and MgB. MG shoots him and Abnotic revives him….once repaired they get him back on the Chopper, so we’re heading back to the CP. While in route we start dropping a few of the Boxer guyz just behind the Op4 to put pressure on them. NevaScared and myself stay on the AirShip and escort the Cyborg back to the General. Once there we are order to put down the attack on the lower half of the Base’s defensive perimeter, so it’s back on the Chopper with two other and dropped off just behind a group of Op4 we move in quickly and get them to surrender.
After another rearm/refit Boxer is back at the CP it is close to lunch time and we’re told that there a battle ragging over at the Pyramid, that we were having a trouble taking it and that we had 4 minutes left to get it done. So we’re on the move, once there I ask Seoul to hit the building with the Tavoc, which he quickly does, we start to suppress the targets in and around the trees and building. MG moves to the right and I ask him for a battery, I used it to pop smoke in front of him (MG’s AAR picks up from here), soon after the building falls and the flag is flipped outstanding job guyz!!!!
After a very nice Pizza Break, we try to enter the field only to find out that our base had been over run and all of the entrances on the near side are blocked and that we have to go “ALL THE WAY DOWN” to the far end of the field to insert. Once there we start a slow trip back toward our CP. First order of business that it back!!! We get in to some heavy contact. (Best Scene of The Day for Me) I ask MG, who is now carrying the SAW, to give me some suppression on a target……and man that SAW…..D**M….that’s all I can say!!! There is some fierce fighting going on here as we push forward, MG and myself plus many others are hit…but Abnotic is Johnny on the shot as a Medic and he’s patching us up as quickly as we get hit, and all the while he's banging away with “The Wallace” and another marker (I don’t even know where he got that, lol). While were still pushing Op4 away from our newly freed CP…I get a radio call from Killa, who had been providing great intel for me all day by the way (if you think high tech training doesn’t work, try having you children play the SOCOM – Confrontation game on PS3, it has made him much better and more comfortable with radio communications), telling me that we have enemy on the hill to our rear. Seoul and I quickly set up an ambush while the rest of the guys stay on the contacts to our front. As we wait in the bush, Seoul radio in, “We got two to my front 50ft” I return with “Ok you got the first one……take the shot” and just like that Seoul knocks out the lead guy and I take down his partner, while this is happening I’m taking shots from my left from a third Tango, so I go flat. I call Seoul and tell him to look in this direction, now I raise up and the guy shoots again, big mistake……(pause for effect)…..on his part cause Seoul takes him out, great team work on that one from the intel to the final shot!
This game had some much action in it I’d better shorten up this AAR, I’ll skip to my final battle. We’re at the mouth of the city once again but this time they have heavy numbers of Op4 in and around it and I have a mission card that states the XO, which I am, has to touch one of the building and with each push we get pushed back, so I put my weapon down and move around drawing fire, so we can tell where everyone is. Once back I'm called over by another Baller that has Command on the horn, there is an Air Strike in bound…I quickly call out “Conserver your ammo and hold your positions we have a plan trust me.” All of a sudden the shooting on our side just stops, it was a great sign of respect from the entire Human side that I had not expected…wow what an honor. Once the strike hit we push forward, (Funny) Since I didn’t know which of the building was the actual one I was supposed to touch…I ran as fast as I could around the town before Op4 could get back screaming “Bunker tag, Bunker tag…I’m the XO, I’m the XO” come to find out it was the very first building that I had tapped, lol.
In closing I want to thank…Sam, David, Michael, Cameron, Ethan, Corey, Kamone’ and Kaleb, for your support, guyz you fought at the highest level, at one of the fastest paces that I’ve seen so one thing is clear to me, you need to be in shape to run with guyz so I'd better keep up my cardio training, lol.
Thanks to Wallace Industrial Technology for the help with Transportations, it really help with the bonding of the team!
Thanks to Boss Paintball Pro Shop, for the advise, the support and the parts that I use in my “Mind of a Lunatic projects!
Thanks to Metadyne Industries, for the part they played in the creation of “ The Wallace” “The Tevoc” and “The Thumper”
Thanks to the rest of our Sponsors, Armed Forces Outfitters, Wop Works, Schneider Training Academy, University Dentistry and Barker Sign…for your general support for Team: Boxer
Thanks to our CO - TJ Eaves, we didn’t come away with the victory but we came away with something better, more friends, another field to call home and a good time left behind, thanks for the opportunities you provided us!!! Thanks to the Field Owner – Kevin, what can I say “Good Time …. Great Field” And in keeping in the theme of the scenario “We’ll be back!”
Thanks to Team: Killjoy, every movies gotta have a bad guy and you guyz play the role well.
Thanks to all the other teams and player, both Human and Machines who names I may have missed or misspelled (lol), it was one heck of a time for me…so again I thank you

First I would like to say my ribs are still aching from all the laughing I did on the way down to Myrtle Beach. I would like to thank the three Stooges Curly, Larry and Moe....oops, MG, Run, and NevaScared. I haven't laughed so hard since my college road trips! Anything funnier and you would have had to pay money. I would do that trip in a heartbeat even if I didn't shoot a single paintball. You guys are a trip! Heck, even Ghost opened up.
Run forgot to mention I pulled a Dave Thompson and left the group for about 45 minutes looking for my radio in the SC jungle.........when Adnotic had found it already minutes after I dropped it. So besides me losing 5 lbs looking for a radio, snakes on the trail and MGB's alligator encounter on the lake, and in the words of MGB, mosquitos the size of bats........we were lucky we made it out alive. LOL
As stated in Run's AAR...I was stressing when the game started and we were still in the parking lot, but it turned out to be good. This game was even more relaxed than Valor vs. Venom. I think everyone got to shoot through a case of paint........even me! Yippee! We also took a couple of breaks during the day since it was so hot.....(as you know Boxer usually never leaves the field during games.) Again, another product of a laid back approach we took to this game.
I loved the new tactics we used in this game. Using an entire squad to cover and take territory. Up until now we have focused on using army and marine style fireteams. We got to see how effective we were with a larger crew moving in a coordinated fashion....also, regrouping and re-inserting together rather than stagger in one by one. Again when we re-inserted as a group we were much more effective. Everyone was very disciplined on the radio with minimum chatter....I was very impressed. Also nice to see such young men...Killa, Ghost and Muffin be so effective and follow Chief without a single complaint. That says a lot about their character. I have to single out Adnotic.........that boy was everywhere as our medic. At one point his marker went down....I was carrying ammo for MGB's alpha deuce and MG was re-inserting, so he took my marker for a while....then he gave it back, moved forward and started shooting someone else's marker. Now that's dedication! Good to have Adnotic back.
We used our equipment well. Smoke grenades, rocket launchers and double A-5, along with the medusa loader. I believe at one point we had everyone in camp come by our Van to see our toys.....LOL. I love the Tavoc....so much lighter and easier to use than the MKX. Xman, remind me to discuss a couple things about the nerfs and the Havoc launcher with you.
Overall I want to thank everyone for such a great time. I needed it! Laughter is the best medicine for stress. I have Oct. marked so that I can once again take another road trip with Boxer to Splatbrothers! Although that will be a serious event for us, the trip up will be just as fun. I would recommend to Run and X to include a game like this once or twice/yr......where we do not annouce we are coming. That way we have minimum responsibility....it is laid back....and we essentially use a scenario as a Boxer Training Camp.
Honestly, I feel Skynet was a great training session.....it put together a lot of things we learned last year from our first training camp. Great Job on putting this together Run.
Also I would like to add........NevaScared is funny as hell, angry, but funny as hell.....we need to get him to come more often.
Until our next road trip.............Peace!

Oh my Goodness how did I forget this....
During one of our pushes on OpFor's Command Post, I get a tap on the shoulder by a Ref and he informs me that I'm dead and not to speak, just stand up and walk away. Standing next to him was an weaponless guy with yellow tape on his mask, he's a terminator (spy), he kills me and MG. While Seoul in running up, not knowing what's happening Seoul asks "What's going on!" to which none of us answers. He finally figures it out....but instead on just pointing his marker at him and making him surrender he decides to try to touch him.....you should have seen him and the spy trying to tag each other they look like two gurls swatting flies!!!!
