~1st Game~
Well it was nice to get out and just shoot. The past few tymes
I've gone out I didn't do a great amount of shootin. I arrived at
Behind Enemy Lines, at 0845 (I guess I must
have really been ready to paint, lol) armed with my ION, A~5
and my faithful Spyder. I was soon joined a by BamBam, MG,
Reaper, lil Smurf and two of his friends. This would form our
fireteam.
We started off with a simple game of elimination, we moved out
along the trail in two groups of three, one group trailing the
other. The plan was to have the first group make contact
and the second to push the flank once contact was made.
I was third man in line (rear) of the lead element when contact
was made, shots from the sniper tower, directly to our front. MG
and the other shooter (sorry I just can't remember his name) fell
back into cover while I moved to the right flank. More contact
more the right (The top of Hamburg hill) but they were out of range.
By this tyme I had loss contact and comms with BamBam and the second
group my assumption was that he was already moving toward the flank of the
Tangos on the top of the hill.
(Side note my radio had a Roger Beep, that was so loud that it
would give away the position of our other players, so that radio
had to go). By now I started putting down suppression fire on
the sniper tower. And let me tell you this that dang ION can really
suppress a target. "WOW" I was easily able to hold his head down.
I ask the other shoot that was with me to keep the sniper
pinned while I moved in on him. I was able to move in close
enough to get a bunker tag, sweet! By now I was
joined by lil Smurf from the second group
I hear a fire fight near MG's last location, just to my left. Three
more men are walking out, one of which is MG, Dang!
Ok now I got two guyz with me and I haven't heard from
BamBam. I ask lil Smurf who was with him, but he doesn't know either.
After a quick assessment of the situation, I've got three
Tangos which turn out to be four on top on Hamburg.
So I ask lil Smurf and the other shooter to keep firing toward Hamburg
while I continue to move up the trail and attempt to move toward
the left flank of the shooter about mid way up the slope. I come
under fire more another Tango, man what luck.
But he's too close to the first Tango, so I stick to the same plan,
"flank them!"
Luckily I'm able to take down the second Tango. And shortly there after
either lil Smurf or the other shooter take down the first great!!
We got two more Tango at the top of the hill,
I call lil Smurf and the other painter over to me and assign them both a angle of
approach as we push the hill. As we push I hear someone call
out. We get to the top and find that two more of their guyz are
gone. How I don't know, but I'm happy with that.
Now here come that fun part, we meet with another one of our
guyz and now we got four and we find out there's one left "Woodwuss"
Blonde hair, pulled back into a pony tail. And he give the four
of us one heck of a runing fight. He keeps hittin us and falling back
until finally he drops back to the tap line where we're able to
corner him and take him down, but he did one heck of a job.
Needless to say I was worried about where he was the rest of
the day.
