Well it was a pretty interesting night to say the least.
In all there was a good turnout at the field, there were about 24 or so guys that showed up putting the team at 12 on 12 at the most. People were there from 2pm till the start.
The temp was around 34-37 degrees and it wasn't to bad with all the running around and all. There was a full moon which done it's best to help out. The lighting was pretty much uneffective and I'm sure will be an issue in later night games, I believe there were four lanterns that hung in the main structure areas. The rest of the field was dark just like the night we operated, pitch black.
The first game we played was elimination and that's what we tryed to do. Horn sounded and my team(which at the start a new painter to the field appointed me team leader off gate) advanced from the log cabin left toward ham H. and we all were meet there across the open bunker area from the other side, we all exchanged fires for what seemed like for ever untill a had an idea to take one other person with me to try and flank the enemy while they were in this firefight. Well me and my highspeed buddy(sorry I forgot your name) made all the way to the other side and into the fort. By this time our entire team seemed to have been taken out, so turbo and I could see ( and by the way the way we could see anything was because our team was given yellow glow sticks and there's green, hung around the neck) enemy dancing around at the top of ham H. so alerted the guys with so pop shots just to let them know they had some ghosts to deal with, well we managed to take a handful out before they could close in but was overwhelmed after awhile. It was a good start finishing the game with Mad only having about four guys left.
The next game we held done fort mad and did a pretty good job doing it. This time we all agreed to change the rules alittle and instead of just being taken out you could regen during the hour of play every ten mins so that allowed playes to continue play instead of sittin the bence. All in all it was a good time, got a group of local guys interested in the site, I've played with these guys before and there a cool bunch, pretty much all of them have auto's and share a genuine love for the game so I will try and keep up with them, One of the guys name is jack so I'll be looking for him.
The prices were a modest 45 a case and they had 3 sorts to chose from, also if you had paint you wanted to get ride of al they asked was that you payed 10 bucks for field use, not bad. If they had only told me before I brought a case ohhh right to the gut!!! anyway nice time, I probably won't do another one unless the lighting better or there's not any vasnishing chem lights, oh yeah that was fun!? Oh yeah the infared that some guy had on his weapon was pretty cool too. Walmart 20 bucks easily attaches to 98's and A-5's. Out.
