Been thinking about Milsim marker for a while now. I love my PM7 and PMR, but thought I should get into the milsim market especially since I will possibly be playing in the Milsim game at Command Decisions in August. Thought about TAC-1 (which I still plan on buying this spring after I talk with Jeremy of EPIC). Looked at A5 and X7 along with SP1 and Tiberius 9. All are very nice, but as I have already told Runaway, I decided to go with something I already owned....Smart Parts ION. I know we will be limited to gravity fed 40ball hoppers in August, but I just wanted to put together a marker that could be used as my primary marker in all future scenarios also. This is the milsim Ion I have put together. Something to give people an idea if they so chose to turn their old Ion into a milsim weapon. Pictured without the new CP Roller trigger that has been installed and 8" barrel. I also have the Freak 16inch barrel kit...I believe we will need 16inch barrels for August. Anyway, just an idea for your Ion. Let me know if anyone is interested in coverting their Ion.....or not, and just disregard this rambling.....LOL. Oh, and BTW, in case people were wondering, I didn't want to wait for all the upgrades for the SP-1 to come out, that is why I stuck with the Ion.

I think it came out looking pretty good. Where did the red dot scope come from? It looks kind of familiar.

smart @$$....I had already emailed you.........Ha..lol. Again, scope is useless when you're staring at the back of a Halo Hopper.....time to get a Qloader...lol. (note to self: test marker out on Ryan at next scenario). We get Phantom to get an E grip yet? BTW, Phantom, do you still have that knot on your head from Shining Shield, cause I might have to put one one Ryan's. Let'em know how it feels...Ha! Who in their right mind bonus balls a guy in the back of the head 5 times at less than 10 feet? What a jerk! BTW, Ryan, you know you're my boy, but I'm gonna have to break the scope now. Ha.

Based on the CD Mil Sim rules I'm pretty sure this would be considered a Sub-Machine gun.
Submachine Guns/Pistols 250 FPS Max
Must be a “military-simulator” with either a fixed, folding, or no stock; a maximum barrel length of 12 inches; maximum overall length of 26 inches (stock collapsed); and will be limited to a 40 round hopper (or Tac-Cap for Cyclones/Rip Clips). Pistol(s) must be on safe and holstered unless in use. If the holster is of a closed bottom design and the barrel of the pistol(s) is not exposed, no BBD will be required. If the holster is of an open design and the barrel of the pistol are exposed, then a BBD must be used when the pistol is holstered.
But it definitely fits the Mil-Sim mode. The nice thing about your approach is that it also fits the style of gun you are use to.
Looks Great!

I don't remember, but I don't think that there is a little to the number of any specific weapon types per unit is there? I am sure that some of the larger weapons there might be but as far as sub-machine guns and the like.

Keep both eyes open, that red dot isn't so useless. Try it and you'll see.

Where iit is currently mounted, it is only for looks. It is mounted directly behind the feed neck for his hopper. When I gave it to him, it was actually mounted on his MKX launcher. We are actually trying to find a way to make a lighter launcher that would allow him to carry both the launcher and at least one of his multiple markers that he has. If you happen to have any ideas on how to build a launcher that would look somewhat realistic though, or at this point any launcher designs, it would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry Ryan, Xman and I are both working with Wop on developing a portable LAW for me and I believe Xman is having him make one for Big Boxer.

There are unit limits for SAWs, rockets, and other heavy weapons.

Thats what I though about the limits, I just couldn't remember if they had them for all types or just those specific types.

seoul that marker came out pretty sweet, definitly the first time i've seen one. Doesn't look like alot of work went into it ( not takin anything away from ya) which is a good thing
With what jet said you can alway get a four point railing system for that flatline shroud and mount that red dot on the the side for both functionablity and overall sweetness.
