On April 26, 2008, Vietnam Patrol was first scenario game since being introduced to the (new) True Mil-Sim concept. To say the least I have been soiled. If the mil-sim concept was made as widely available as the regular scenario scene I would op to play mil-sim. I find there is a higher level of dedication to the mission. It seems to me that during scenario play that many of the teams and individuals are more interested in their own personal enjoyment then sticking to a plan and please don’t get me wrong, I totally understand and respect that. The problem is the Generals must know which teams and individuals operate this way so that the proper game plan can be prepared.

I agree with you. At times i couldn't get most of the unit to move. They were more interested in staying back and letting a few of us try and push the lines. Believe it or not Merc and myself pushed the damm line back 2 times by ourselves. But once you did that you couldn't get anyone to come up and follow. Thats why i dont like walk-ons that much. They just want to shoot paint and get some lucky killz. Outta the whole day only my team and team Saber managed to do some damage that i could see personnally in my location. So i think that if you cap the ammo you'll have no choice but to try and complete the missions. Plus save some money on paint. Either way my azz is going back in May. Im liking the missions part of the game and that style of game type. My team needs to work more on reading maps and communicating better within our unit but all in all i think we did pretty good. ;D

Ur points are valid Reaper, but I think it goes a little deeper than that. Dedication and discipline start far before you hit the field. It starts in the the planing room and the parking lot. Little things like showing up before hand and being prepared to go well before the safety briefing. From a Commander's standpoint it's all about communication and trust, with this your battle plan can be fluid.

well said and good input on both post.
From what I saw, mass confusion was a regular thing, besides the teams that operated as such, there were many walk-on doin there own thing. Shout- outs to all teams and players (even the walk on) cause well that is there own styles. The Sabers shined out there to me and were hella fun to play with. They lead and followed like true soldiers.
With what reaper said, X-men was riding me all day (not complaining at all) about leading my men and pushing and advancing at the proper time etc. Until I explained to him that there was no squad cohesion.
I remember upon receiving Intel to move to Luke and wait to push until the an air strike was Thur, well we moved out an awesome player named Ice was point man. As we moved Ice stepped on a sniper and was takin out, we took the sniper out and a firefight ensued just shy of Luke. Long story short, I screamed, begged and yelled for my small squad to flank while we laid down suppression, I remember one of rogues players saying, " I'm not flanking"and another (not a rogue), said " me either" I mean how can you get anything down with that type of attitude....it baffles the mind. By the way the player was a girl so that eased my mind. LOL
Anyway Seoul and I had to take charge and we were takin out try to fire and maneuver. So sorry X-men thats why I was gettin taken out so much I was just try to play the role of 4-5 man team and that just doesn't work.
All in all, good turn out and great look. Planning needed to be a little tighter but it was fun.
Good job to Greenman for takin on a tough role, and awarding Boxer with the MVT, good lookin Greenman Great Job to Boxer and to everyone that came out. See ya soon.

I hope I will be able to afford to attend Fulda Gap. Seeings how I wrecked my car last night on the way home, its gonna be a while before I can afford to play again. I had full coverage on my car so It should pay off a pretty good amount. I'm ok though so Hambo lives to die another day. ;D

What's up Boxer boys! We had a great time running with y'all. MGB and I took several folks right towards the end, split up, and covered some ground. I noticed MGB said somewhere else that they were running around flipping flags in the rain, and so did we. Too bad it was a too little, too late. We look forward to standing side by side with you guys in the future.

When we got backed in there by Sim City, Reaper and I both where trying to get people to push forward but it seemed the majority just wanted to sling paint or not get hit. This only lead to me getting shot out but there was a respawn point right behind us. I tried to explain that to people but it seemed they never wanted to push. There where a few and that town didn't have as many defenders as we did attackers. I'm a firm believer in sucking it up and going for it.
